From this serene setting on the mountain experienced skiers and riders can ski right back to the home that sits just below Lower Bear Tree trail. Skiing from the house down to the Gondola starts with a brisk climb up the steps from the deck, after which you can traverse and ski down to Lower Lindsay’s that will bring you right to the Gondola. Skiers and boarders, can also make a short walk down Forest Road to access the Gondola and Vail Village.

Presenting a Swiss chalet style atmosphere, the Ark at Vail was built by one of the resort's founding families and maintains that original feel. Ideally equipped to comfortably accommodate 12 guests, the main level features a spacious living area with a fireplace that is framed by walls of windows set under vaulted ceilings. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with all of the necessities for meal preparation. There is a large indoor hot tub and a fun basement room with ping pong and foosball tables. All five bedrooms are furnished with King beds that can split into twin extra long beds if required. Ideal for the kids or singles in the group, the bunk room offers two sets of bunk beds. There is parking on the street below the house for 4-5 cars, depending on the size of the vehicles and the amount of snow.
