Where to eat in Keystone and nightlife options

Keystone serves up more than just world-class skiing—its winter dining scene is part of the adventure. Guests can choose from cozy lodge experiences, casual après-ski hangouts, and fine dining with a Rocky Mountain twist.

  • On-Mountain Dining: Warm up between runs with hearty fare at Summit House on Dercum Mountain or enjoy après-ski favorites slopeside in River Run Village.

  • Fine Dining & Signature Experiences: Savor refined Colorado cuisine at Keystone Ranch, indulge in a gourmet four-course meal at the historic Ski Tip Lodge, or take a scenic sleigh ride to a homestead dinner for a one-of-a-kind evening.

  • Casual & Family-Friendly: Kickapoo Tavern and other village eateries serve up burgers, comfort food, and local brews in a laid-back setting perfect for families and groups.

  • Quick Bites & Coffee Stops: Grab breakfast, coffee, or snacks from cafes and delis throughout the resort to keep your day on track.

From fireside elegance to mountain-top views, Keystone’s winter dining options make every meal a memorable part of your stay.

Keystone
Town / Base Village

  • Keystone has two primary base areas, River Run Village and Mountain House. The Mountain House base area is generally the quieter one, and offers the closest parking to the lifts, with the Peru Express just steps from both free and paid parking options.
  • Parking on peak days generally fills by 10:00 am, so plan to arrive early to guarantee a spot.
  • Take advantage of night skiing on weekends and holidays! Start your day late, enjoy a leisurely morning and hit the slopes in the afternoon. There’s still plenty of turns to be had with night skiing operations until 8:00 pm, and if parking did fill in the morning, it usually starts to open up again after lunch.
  • Kids ski totally FREE at Key! Kids 12 and younger ski for free with no blackout dates when families book just two or more nights through Keystone Resort.
  • If you’re just learning and getting your ski/ride legs under you, check out the Discovery learning area at Mountain House. Or, upload and download the River Run Gondola to learning terrain at the top of Dercum Mountain with the Kokomo carpet and Ranger lift.

The Keystone Vibe

At Keystone, we’re all about having of fun in the snow, whether that be skiing, riding or something for those who prefer to stay on their two feet.

Take the River Run Gondola to the top of Dercum Mountain to play at The World’s Largest Mountaintop Snow Fort. From there, head towards one of our on-mountain dining outlets or head down to our base areas for shopping and more dining options.

The Mountain

DERCUM MOUNTAIN

Sitting at 11,640 feet, Dercum Mountain greets guests as they enter the resort from the River Run or Mountain House base areas. Its trails offer skiers and riders long-groomed beginner runs, including Schoolmarm, the resort’s Family Ski Trail, as well as a variety of wide, rolling intermediate runs great for cruising. Dercum Mountain is also home to Keystone’s award-winning A51 terrain park, featuring a 60-acre collection of progressive terrain park features including boxes, rails, and jumps.

NORTH PEAK
Rising to 11,660 feet, North Peak sits directly behind Dercum Mountain and offers a variety of intermediate and advanced terrain, including long bump runs. It is home to Labonte’s Smokehouse BBQ as well as The Outpost, where hungry skiers and snowboarders can grab a bite for lunch at the Timber Ridge food court or return later that evening for a gondola-accessed dinner at the Alpenglow Stube or Der Fondue Chessel.

THE OUTBACK

The Outback, Keystone’s furthest and tallest peak at 11,980 feet, is an oasis for skiers and riders looking to enjoy powder turns and tree skiing. Take a short hike off the top of the Outback Express Lift for access to North and South Bowls where skiers and riders will often find wide-open turns and powder stashes.

THE BOWLS
In addition to Keystone’s three main peaks, Independence, Bergman, Erickson, and North, and South bowls offer skiers and riders incredible hike-to terrain and access to secret stashes, tree runs and powder laps across more than 1,000 acres. Terrain in North and South Bowl is easily accessible via a short hike off the top of the Outback Express Lift. Don’t feel like hiking? A $20 shuttle ride on The North Peak snowcat (pick up at the Outpost building on North Peak) provides easy and convenient access to terrain in Erickson and Bergman bowls, which provide easy access back to lift-serviced terrain, or to Independence Bowl, which requires a hike out… Want more? Participate in a day of guided cat skiing with Keystone Adventure Tours for access to spectacular terrain with expert guides.

Extend Your Day on the Mountain

Keystone’s legendary night skiing means the adventure doesn’t end when the sun goes down. Spend your days exploring Colorado’s largest night skiing operation, then enjoy evenings together under the lights—creating even more unforgettable family memories.
