Gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows provide natural light and incredible scenery to the open living room on the main level. The room features plush leather sofas, a large fireplace and a flat screen television. Across the great room, a gourmet kitchen is adorned with beautiful wood cabinetry, stone tile floors and stainless steel appliances. A breakfast bar offers seating for four and just behind, a large natural wood dining room table can seat up to 14 people. Glass doors from the dining area lead to one of three outdoor decks offering a grill and several seating areas. Guests love to hang out in the lower level family room which on one side features a pool table, wet bar and a dart board, and on the other, a seating area with a fireplace and a flat screen television. Access to the outdoor hot tub large enough for eight people is via a glass door in the family room.
A spacious master suite sits on the upper level of Big Dog Lodge, offering a private fireplace, desk and a separate sitting area. The master private bathroom boasts a soaking tub, walk-in shower and dual sinks. Also on the upper level, a second guest room features a ¾ bathroom and a ladder up to the loft area with additional bedding. Two bedrooms are located on the lower level with one offering a private full bathroom and the other one is ideal for the younger guests and shares a ¾ bathroom with the family room.
Guests of Big Dog Lodge can choose to ski out down the driveway, take a left and follow the road to the Thunderwolf Lift access. Skiing in to the property is only recommended for intermediate or expert skiers and is done by taking Silverknife to the Bear Back Poma and skiing past the bottom of the Poma lift to Low Dog Road and back to the house. Beginners should ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front door and take the road back to the property.
