Birch Cassidy on Sundance Residence

The main level living space is built with one thing in mind— to showcase the stunning mountain views from every seat in the house. A cream-colored sofa and multiple comfy armchairs surround the stone fireplace. A wall of windows allows the natural mountain sunshine to flood the space, and make the epic mountain views the star of the show. Kick back here after a day on the slopes, with a crackling fireplace nearby and a glass of wine in hand.

The massive kitchen is a chef’s dream— with commercial-grade, stainless steel appliances, a wine fridge, and a slate gray farmhouse sink. Bleached wood cabinets, a double range and oven, and clean, gleaming marble countertops combine to create a luxurious kitchen workspace. Brew fresh coffee or flip blueberry pancakes in the mornings before hitting the trails— or prepare an intimate dinner for your whole group in the evenings.

A bar space is made from a thick slab of natural-edged wood and has seating for three with views of the peaks beyond. A formal dining space has more seating and is highlighted by a tree branch inspired chandelier.  Glass doors lead out to the flagstone patio, gas grill, and alfresco dining space.

In the primary suite, a king-size bed sits under a dramatic cathedral ceiling, finished in natural wood tones. A stone fireplace adds coziness to this soaring space, while two private balconies provide a feeling of secluded indoor-outdoor living. The gorgeous vaulted ceiling continues into the master bathroom, where you’ll find a massive double vanity, a deep soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower.

A second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a separate tub and shower. The third bedroom has a king-size bed and an attached bathroom featuring a step-in shower with a rustic tile finish. A fourth bedroom has a queen-size and attached full bathroom, while the fifth bedroom is a flexible bunk space with two twin-size beds and one twin-over-twin bunk. The bunk room also has an attached full bathroom. A sixth bedroom space is currently used as a den— with a sectional sofa and flatscreen television for catching the game or watching a movie. The fourth guest bedroom has a split king-size bed for additional flexibility.

Outside, multiple lounging spaces provide plenty of opportunities to soak up the beauty and peace of the majestic mountain views. A secluded hot tub is ideal for soothing sore muscles after a day at the slopes, and a mountain view fire pit is the perfect spot to gather at twilight to roast marshmallows or share a bottle of wine.

When you’re ready to hit the slopes, the Sundance ski run is right outside your door. A convenient mudroom and laundry area have plenty of storage space for all your gear. For an afternoon or night out on the town, the dining, shopping, and endless activities in downtown Telluride are a short drive away. Butch Cassidy may have robbed his first bank in Telluride— but Birch Cassidy on Sundance is sure to steal your mountain-loving heart.
