Castlewood is really three distinct spaces occupying over 17,300 square feet of living space to accommodate up to thirty five guests: The Main House, The Guest House, and The Coachman Quarters. This separate yet connected design allows large groups varying degrees of privacy, while the large, open spaces of the main house can still comfortably accommodate everyone staying throughout the property.

The Main House has an amazing Great Room with a massive fireplace, a breathtaking view of the San Sophia Mountain Range, four large bedrooms, a Children's Loft, an informal and formal dining areas, a huge kitchen, a Game Room with a fireplace from the Clinton White House, a spectacular theater, a wine cellar, an observation tower, a library, four full and three half bathrooms, and large decks and balconies with a built-in grill outside of the kitchen. Two elevators provide access to the bedroom level, main and lower levels as well as the Guest House, Hot Springs, and Ski-In/Ski-Out feature.

Connected to the Main House, the Guest House offers three large bedrooms in addition to a living area with an amazing stone fireplace, a full kitchen, two full and one half bathrooms, the Hot Springs, an exercise room, and the ski-in/out feature. Wrap around decks hold another grill and there is a private entrance to the Guest House.

Detached from the Guest House and the Main House is a Coachman's Quarters. This most rustic portion of the property is actually the property's original 200 year old structure. Of course, this residence has been updated and includes one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen, a living area with balcony and additional bedding. This building has recently been dubbed the Pilot's Quarters since many of the Castlewood Estate's guests do have their own private pilots. This luxurious yet rustic portion of the property is connected to the Main House via a covered path.

Additional amenities and services at the Castlewood Estate are extensive. Sitting on over an acre of wooded land, there is a strong feeling of privacy although the property sits adjacent to the Double Cabins ski trail and lift 10. There is a ski room with boot and glove warmers, washer and dryer, and drying room for gear storage. A circular driveway in addition to the two-car garage allows for easy parking of multiple cars. Perhaps the most striking area of the home is the Relaxation Center where guest find the most unique hot tub design of any vacation home, it is called the Hot Springs where guests will feel like they are actually enjoying a real natural hot spring experience.
