As the name suggests, Gold Mine Lodge was custom built using timbers from an axtual gold mine, and thoughtfully carries this theme throughout the home’s 7,721 square feet of elegant living space. Perched on the mountain, within walking distance to the Thunderhead Lift, this incredible alpine rental home boasts six bedrooms with eight bathrooms, and is nicely equipped to accommodate up to 16 guests.  Kick back and relax among sophisticated furnishings and enjoy a diverse array of attractive amenities guaranteed to please even the most discriminating travelers.

On the main floor, a massive stone fireplace separates the living room from the kitchen and dining area. A comfortable sofa and leather occasional chairs create a cozy feel in front of the fireplace, while a large flat screen television sits off to the side. This space is drenched in sunlight from the large surrounding windows, which showcase exceptional forested views. On the other side of the fireplace, an incredible kitchen boasts custom wood cabinetry, top-of-the-line appliances, granite countertops and a built-in espresso machine. There is a breakfast bar with five seats, and a window seat to enjoy superb views of the slopes. Up to 10 guests can be seated at the adjacent dining table which sits next to the roaring fireplace in front of a wall of windows and doors. After dinner, your guests will love to head downstairs, as the lower level offers plenty of entertainment options for vacationers of all ages. A spacious family room makes you feel right at home with its funky wood paneled walls and plush sofa and chairs. Enjoy a seat by the cozy fire, take in a show or the big game on the large flat screen television, or perhaps play a game of cards on the games table. With a full bar complete with a sink, glassware and four barstools, your guests will be satiated and content without having to go upstairs and miss out on any of the fun. If hitting the slopes isn’t satisfying your fitness goals, a workout room is just down the hall offering both cardio and weights, along with a wall-mounted flat screen television. Unwind and recharge in the indoor sauna, also located on this level which sits across from the amazing custom ski room. Designed to keep everyone’s gear organized and accessible, this room features ski and snowboard storage, boot dryers, and work benches to ensure everything is in tip top shape. Cubbies offer fresh towels, as this area leads to the outdoor private hot tub which sits just outside a large wooden door.

There are six bedrooms at Gold Mine Lodge, each designed with guests comfort in mind. Located on the main floor, the master suite is a true sanctuary, offering a seating area, a gas fireplace, private balcony and luxurious bathroom boasting a large walk-in shower, along with a soaking tub with a stunning view. On the upper level, three generous sized bedrooms offer cozy bedding, gas fireplaces and private elegant bathrooms. One offers a balcony, and there is also a private office with a fireplace up there. Downstairs on the lower level, two comfortable bedrooms sit off the family room space. One boasts a plush bed, a charming private bathroom and views of Mt. Werner and Thunderhead Lift, while the final guest room was furnished to sleep multiple guests, and offers a lovely private bathroom.  

Gold Mine Lodge sits approximately 150 yards from the Thunderhead Lift for walk-in access to the ski slopes, or guests can utilize the on-call shuttle service for hassle-free transport from your front door to the lower mountain, or downtown Steamboat Springs.
