In the great room, exposed wood beams and a massive rock gas fireplace create a large, open space that still feels warm and inviting, thanks to the plush leather seating, sunny windows and flat screen television. Chefs will adore the neighboring professional kitchen, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances including separate beverage refrigerators, two dishwashers, six ovens and a built in Miele coffee maker. A double island boasting a breakfast bar constructed out of stunning banded iron, can seat up to four guests, while the dining room features a gorgeous granite table for 12. Also on this level, an oversized deck offers an outdoor fireplace and spectacular views of the slopes, -the ideal spot for your morning coffee or to watch Steamboat’s famous champagne powder fall. Another space your crew will certainly love to congregate is the lower level recreation area, a generous fun zone packed with endless entertainment options. There is a media room featuring reclining theater seats and a mammoth screen to catch up on a missed movie, or gather for the big game. For the competitive bunch, this space also offers a pool table and fireplace next to a fully stocked wet bar including a beverage fridge and freezer, plus a ping pong table and foosball table in the next room. The adventurous souls will enjoy the 14 foot climbing wall, set next to several other challenging obstacles in a large open play room.

Six magnificent bedrooms are spread throughout Rocking Chair Lodge, all furnished with lux, yet cozy decor for a good night’s rest. On the main floor, the master is an alpine haven, with a custom, unique bed, private fireplace and access to the front patio. The indulgent master bath features a steam shower, towel warmer and double jetted tub, ideal for soaking after a day on the slopes. Perched on the upper level, there are five additional guest rooms, designed for privacy and relaxation. Bedroom two boasts a full kitchen and access to the hot tub, while guest rooms three, four, and five feature plush bedding, ample storage space and a variety of entertaining features. Geared for the youngest travelers in the party, the sixth bedroom offers multiple bedding with a desk and storage space. Each of the five guest bedrooms offers its own private, beautifully tiled bathroom.

Located in The Porches community, guests are treated to a 6,000 square foot clubhouse featuring a heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, outdoor deck and fire pit, plus the use of a fitness center with a kid’s play room. Access to the slopes is a breeze, as this home comes with on-call shuttle service to both the ski mountain and downtown’s restaurants, shopping and nightlife. A ski valet at the base allows for ski storage adding to the ease and convenience of staying in this spectacular mountain home.
