Featuring a main lodge with 11 guest rooms and 35 adjacent private cabins, this lakefront retreat is the perfect place for your family or group or friends to kick back, relax and enjoy the incredible natural surroundings.
Cozy and rustic, the lobby is adorned in natural wood and offers ample seating, a wood-burning stove and a fireplace, ensuring a warm and inviting feel. The lobby bar offers the perfect spot to meet up after your day’s adventures. For those who choose to stay on the property for lunch or dinner, a charming 10-table restaurant offers fresh, sustainable locally sourced selections, with an incredible view of the Twin Lakes. The Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center allows guests to experience over 19 miles of groomed world-class trails and offers rentals and lessons so that you can immerse yourself in the historic forests and alpine lakes of the area.
Accommodations at the Tamarack Lodge range from European-style lodge rooms up to a Deluxe Three Bedroom Cabin. Each rental is thoughtfully appointed and includes the charm and rustic elegance of a true mountain oasis.
Lodge Rooms- Located on the second floor of thelodge, each room features antique beds with cozy patchwork quilts. These are ideal for those who desire to be close to the front desk, lobby and restaurant. For the even more budget conscious, there are rooms with a private sink that share a hallway bathroom.
Top of the Lodge Suite- One suite sits on the third level of the lodge and offers an amazing view of the lake. This exclusive rental can sleep four in two queen beds and features an efficiency kitchen, dining area and living room.

Historic Cabins- Guests can choose from a studio, one, two or three bedroom rustic cabin.
Studio- Resembling 1920’s fishing cabins, they are constructed with timber and stone and will either feature a queen or king bed and a wood or gas burning stove. Enjoy an efficiency kitchen with small dining table and a shower or tub bathroom.
One Bedroom- These can accommodate up to four guests and offer a spacious living room with a sleeper sofa. There is an efficiency kitchen, full bathroom and a gas or wood-burning stove. Bedroom boasts a king sized bed.
Two Bedroom-Offering a mid-century appeal, these feature basic kitchens, smaller bathrooms and gas wall heaters.
Three Bedroom- The largest of the Historic Cabins, the three bedrooms feature comfortable living rooms, full kitchens, a dining area and two bathrooms.

Deluxe Cabins- Offering the amenities of a condominium hotel, the deluxe cabins offer comfort and luxury with mountain charm.
One Bedroom- These feature spacious living rooms, lake views and large porches. One bedrooms can accommodate up to four guests with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Enjoy a full kitchen and a dining area.
Two Bedroom- Up to seven guests can enjoy the gas fireplace, large wooden deck and full kitchen. There are two bathrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Windows in every room and elevated wood beam ceilings draw in plenty of natural light and expose the lovely views.
Three Bedroom- Cabin 11 sits lakeside and is the first Platinum Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certified building in the Eastern Sierra area of Mammoth Lakes. This plush cabin can accommodate up to eight guests. Each bedroom features a picture window with stunning views and knotty pine walls. There is a full kitchen with a large dining room table and a living room with two full sized couches.
