Where to eat at Palisades Tahoe Resort

Tahoe’s best sushi, big Belgian waffles, contemporary California Cuisine, and great bars offer options for all. PlumpJack is a great combination of relaxed après-ski and upscale dining atmospheres. Truckee and Tahoe City are nearby for even more choices.

If charming mid-mountain dining is what you’re after, Alpine has that covered. Pull into the Chalet, an Alps-inspired cabin near the base of Scott Chair, for a mid-morning cinnamon bun by the fireplace or a late-afternoon panini and beer on the deck. For other options, don’t miss the Ice Bar, at Sherwood Chair on the backside, for snacks and beverages from a ski-up window, or the Mogrog Cafe for European fare at the bottom of the Subway Chair.

Palisades Tahoe Resort
Town / Base Village

The Village at Palisades Tahoe Resort is one of the finest you’ll find. From extreme mountain gear to fine art, there is an extensive range of boutique-style shopping. Custom boot fitting, gifts for the dog- it’s all here. Stay in the four-diamond Resort at Squaw Creek, a cozy bed and breakfast, or your own condo. Family vacation, or quiet getaway- Rocky Mountain Getaways lodging experts will find your perfect place.

Start and end your day in The Village at Palisades Tahoe, your launching pad for adventure and your welcoming respite after an action-packed day on the mountain. From convenient slopeside lodging to coffee shops, wine bars, and gear outfitters, The Village has everything you need to make the most of your stay.

The Palisades Vibe

Need proof that Alpine has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe around? There’s a chairlift named Lakeview Chair—and it delivers on its name. You can catch panoramic sights of the lake from many vantage points around the mountain. Some of our favorite photo-worthy spots: The view from the top of Summit Express or from the groomed cattrack atop Art’s Knob, accessed via Sherwood Chair or Treeline Cirque.

The Palisades Tahoe Resort is also the spring skiing capital! Thanks to plentiful snowfall that lasts sometimes well into summer and a spirited spring vibe, Palisades Tahoe has become an epicenter for spring skiing and riding with the longest season in Tahoe. Join us in the springtime for goggle tan weather, perfect corn snow, music festivals, pondskimming, and a vivacious après-ski scene under the sun.

The Mountains

With progressive terrain for every ability and a vast 3,600 skiable acres, Palisades is home to everything from mountain-top beginner slopes with views of Lake Tahoe to plunging chutes and wide-open bowls that have bred Olympic champions and ski movie stars. Ride legendary lifts like KT-22 or Siberia, then drop in to hunt for powder stashes or perfect corduroy.

Alpine has over 100 trails, you’ll find terrain for everyone at Alpine, from impeccable top-to-bottom groomers to gentle, beginner-friendly slopes. The most treasured terrain at Alpine? Its hike-to back bowls, covert spots like Beaver Bowl, Estelle Bowl, and Grouse Ridge. We promise you it’s worth the effort it takes to get there.
