Direct flights from major cities into Glacier Park International Airport (only 15 minutes away) make getting to Whitefish a breeze. Whitefish is one of the closest mountain towns to a major airport. Amtrak’s Empire Builder arrives twice-daily at the historic Whitefish Railway Depot from Chicago and Minneapolis to the east and Portland and Seattle from the west. Arriving by car is also easy with roads that meander through some of the most beautiful landscapes in North America.

From Glacier Park International Airport (FCA)

By Car:

  2. Driving Directions:
    • Exit the airport and head east on US-2 E/US-2 Alt E.
    • Turn left onto US-2 W (signs for Kalispell/Libby).
    • Turn right onto MT-40 W.
    • Continue on MT-40 W for about 5 miles.
    • Turn right onto US-93 N, which leads directly into Whitefish.
    • The drive is approximately 12 miles and takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on road conditions.
