Hohenmark Hausis an elegant Breckenridge vacation home rental built in 2000 that was designed with relaxation in mind. Its 4000 square feet were planned to accommodate family and friends for leisure activities. Hohenmark, German for high point,is situated in the prestigious Highlands Subdivision on the 5th tee of Breckenridge's Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. It is only a short distance from the bike trails, fly fishing and free public transportation to the ski slopes, allowing access to year-round recreational opportunities. Hohenmark's four spacious bedrooms each contain private baths with jetted tubs and sitting areas. Furnishings span the globe from native Colorado marble to Dutch tiles and English antiques. Comfortably sleeping up to fifteen people, Hohenmark Haus has separate areas to allow privacy when desired. 

Designed with the outdoors enthusiast in mind, Hohenmark Haus greets guests with a small heated entry room where the coats and boots can be shed. From this room you enter into the great room, thirty feet tall with log trusses and a bridge spanning the room on the second floor. A moss rock fireplace borders a wall of glass looking out over the 5th tee of the golf course and the beautiful forests. Oriental rugs adorn the hardwood floor; leather sofas and chairs provide a comfortable setting for conversation, to be mesmerized by the fire in the gas fireplace, or to watch the large LCD screen TV. 

Integrated into the Great Room is a dining area with a round oak farm table from Pennsylvania that opens to seat up to ten. The sideboard is an antique from Alabama and boasts brightly colored leaded glass doors. Just off the kitchen is a hexagonal shaped breakfast room where you are surrounded by windows and all the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. The glass-topped table comfortably seats six and the granite counter dividing the kitchen seats four more.

Cooking in the designer kitchen is a joy on the downdraft JennAire island range with its built-in grill. The double oven provides both microwave and conventional ovens to make meal preparation easy. The kitchen is adorned with tile and granite counters. Patio doors from the breakfast bar open onto the ground level patio.

The media room is certain to provide a fun area for the group to gather and enjoy the entertainment center with surround sound, DVD player, state of the art amplifier, satellite and cable 32-inch television. Two separate sound sources can be enjoyed: one in the media room and the other on speakers located throughout the first floor of the house and patio with independent volume controls.

Hohenmark Haus provides one of the most desirable bedding configurations for families and groups of friends. On the upper level of this luxury Breckenridge vacation home is the Master Suite with a sitting area that is furnished with Victorian antiques. There is a Queen bed and a Queen sleeper sofa in the Master Suite as well as a private jetted tub bathroom with antique marble-topped washstand.

The second Master Suite is wonderfully bright with a sitting area that holds a settee imported from Germany. This suite is furnished with an iron accented Queen bed and an antique oak washstand and dresser. The private bathroom also has a jetted tub.

Ideal for the kids, the bunk room is located across the bridge from the Master Suites and is furnished with a peeled log Captain's Bunk (twin up, double down) as well as a Queen log futon. The large closet has a laundry chute and there is a jetted tub in the private bath. 

Located on the main level is the third Master Suite with a four poster Queen bed and features a matching chest and dressing table, remotely controlled gas fireplace, cable television and satellite system, and built-in sound system. The private bath offers an oversized-jetted tub, large enough for sharing or just relaxing in luxurious splendor and a six foot commissioned stained glass window. There is an additional oversized tile shower that doubles as a steam room with a bench that will seat 4.

Additional bedding can be found in the enclosed media room which has a queen sleeper sofa and a half bath. And to top it all off, there is a six person hot tub on the patio! Hohenmark Haus is located about 4 miles from the slopes and Main Street Breckenridge.
