Breckenridge is truly a special place on earth! This hamlet tucked into the Rocky Mountains at about 9,600 feet above sea level really has it all: spectacular mountain vistas in every direction, amazing adventures for the casual outdoor enthusiast to the most aggressive athletes, an eclectic and authentic downtown with tons of fun shops and the tastiest of dining establishments, and real people excited to share their oasis in the Rockies! 

While fun adventures await visitors all year long, the winter season is when Breckenridge really shines. Jutting up from the heart of downtown Breckenridge is a massive, natural playground known as the Breckenridge Ski Resort. Skiing and Snowboarding are what Breck is best known for and what attracts millions of visitors each year. But, it is the marriage of the mountain and town that really make Breckenridge one of the most popular family ski destinations in the country. If you still have anything left after a day on the mountain or are looking to take a day off from playing on the snow, the Victorian inspired downtown has plenty to offer to keep you excited and enthralled.

My first visit to Breckenridge with my wife, Lisa, occurred nearly 20 years ago. We loved it so much that upon our return to NJ we put the house up for sale and became Breckenridge residents just three months later. That vacation burns bright in my memory, we had a blast on and off the mountain, and I really think that where we stayed had a lot to do with our infatuation with this amazing place! Our ski day started with a short walk to the lift and ended with us skiing right back to the property. Our nights began with a short stroll down to Main Street where we shopped, dined, and took in the amazing ambiance and nightlife scene before skipping back to our condo.

Location really is everything and this truth holds even greater when talking about a ski vacation. You want to be close to all of the Apres fun while enjoying easy and convenient access to the ski slopes. Pine Ridge Condominiums sit right at the base of the mountain, and a block from Main Street, where all of Breckenridge’s attractions are just a short walk away. Location, check. The condominiums at Pine Ridge are spacious, nicely furnished, and equipped with all of the comforts of home including a fully stocked kitchen that is open to a cozy living space with a fireplace. Comfort, check. We were able to enjoy the slope side hot tub and even took advantage of the clubhouse complex with an indoor/outdoor swimming pool that is just a short walk from the property. Amenities, check. The topper was that Pine Ridge cost us a lot less than many of the lodging offerings that did not even come close to offering the quality, location and amenities we were treated to at Pine Ridge. Value, check…check…check!!!!

With nearly twenty years of very happily living our lives and raising a family in and around Breckenridge, the magic of this VERY special place on earth has not diminished. I recently took a property tour of Pine Ridge Condominiums and found that the Location, Comforts, Amenities, and Value of this prime vacation property have not diminished a bit either! In fact, Pine Ridge has stood the test of time, updating the accommodations and services to keep the property a true Breckenridge gem. Putting nostalgia aside, I was even more impressed by Pine Ridge and realized how lucky Lisa and I were to have chosen to stay here on our very first trip to Breckenridge since it opened the door to what has been an amazing life together in one of the most special places on earth!
