SLEIGH RIDE DINNER AT ULEY’S CABIN


Cozy blankets await you on the sleigh, and as you chug up the mountain, with the snowy trees illuminated by alpenglow and the headlights of the snowcat, your adventure is reminiscent of being in a snow globe. Your destination is a warmly lit cabin in the woods, built in memory of Uley Sheer, a miner, moonshiner and mountain man to boot, who eked out a life in a small cabin on Forest Hill. Though his residence was a quaint 6 X 8 foot cabin, your digs for the evening is something much finer—a large cozy cabin warmed by a proper fire, trimmed with décor reminiscent of the life Uley lead in the woods.
 

FREE GUIDED MOUNTAIN SKI TOURS

We want you to feel like a local on Crested Butte Mountain. On this two-hour tour, we’ll show you around our lifts, trails, and best green and blue runs so you can feel comfortable navigating the mountain on your own. It’s a great way to kick off your visit and meet fellow skiers—friends have definitely been made on these tours! So bring the family or your group to the base area. Tours meet at 9:45 a.m. and begin at 10 a.m. daily.

Unique Shopping: In Crested Butte you won’t find any chain stores, but what you will find is a variety of unique and locally owned boutiques, ranging from boho-cowgirl fashion stores to Native American jewelry shops.
Fun Nightlife: Playtime doesn’t end when the sun goes down! Check out Montanya Distillers for some Colorado, high altitude rum and a trendy fun atmosphere.  For live entertainment, head up to the Eldo.
Other Winter Activities:  Off the slopes, the valley offers miles of Nordic skiing and snowshoeing and if you’re feeling adventurous, take a sled dog adventure with a team of experienced huskies on pristine wilderness trails.
